If you’re looking for a way to relive your childhood, all you have to do is spend a couple of blissful days, interacting with a bunch of amazing kids at The Reading Room. Trust me; they really do make you feel like you’re one of them.

After a sunny season filled with games and activities, we finally came to the last day of this month’s summer retreat for kids.  With a few children leaving for vacation, we knew we had to do something special for them on this day. And what better way to end a beautiful experience, than by having a little, fun-filled party?

The minute the kids heard that they were going to spend the whole day playing fun games with us, their faces lit up with cheeky smiles, and they just couldn’t stop bouncing up and down with excitement. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d have to dance like a penguin or hold an impromptu ‘Chinese Whisper’ session, with a bunch of tiny humans. With cool music, funky dance moves, sugary sweets and lots and lots of laughter—it was a crazy afternoon at the Reading Room today.

In the end, when we asked the kids if they enjoyed this month’s camp, they nodded their heads enthusiastically and screamed ‘Yes!’ Some of the kids even came to us to say that they were having the best time of their lives here. So it was definitely hard for us to say goodbye to those who wouldn’t be attending next month’s camp. We got so used to seeing them walk in with their bags, smile widely and say ‘Good Morning!’ that it’s difficult to imagine a day without it.

All in all, it was a magical month that drifted by like a warm breeze on a sunny day. I can’t wait to see what new experiences are in store for these tiny tots, in the following month.
